The Yorkshire and Humber internship scheme is designed for health and care professionals, social workers, and public health practitioners working within the Yorkshire and Humber region, who wish to become more research active and embed research activities in their practice settings.
This opportunity is open to all registered health and care professionals working in the Yorkshire and Humber region, who want to increase their research knowledge and skills.
This includes:
- Nurses
- Midwives
- Allied health professionals
- Pharmacists
- Healthcare scientists
- Social workers
- Public Health practitioners
Applicants do not need to aspire to a PhD; the scheme welcomes those interested in undertaking audit projects, learning about research delivery, or expanding their research knowledge. Eligible candidates must work in the Yorkshire and Humber region and in a health and care provider setting, such as hospitals, community environments, third sector organisations, hospices, or schools, demonstrate a commitment to professional development and service improvement through research, articulate clear aims for their internship, and secure support from their line manager to participate.
