The Yorkshire and Humber Community of Research Practice
The Yorkshire and Humber Community of Research Practice is a collaborative network uniting health and care providers with educators to champion research and professional development across our region. By working together, we deliver a dynamic internship programme designed for health and care professionals, shaped by our Advocates of the North initiative. Our aim is to empower those who may feel underrepresented or excluded from research, whether due to professional background, location, or employing organisation.
Hosted by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre, with support from the University of Leeds, we make the most of existing NIHR infrastructure to maximise our impact. Through strong partnerships with NHS and care sector organisations throughout Yorkshire and the Humber, we broaden our reach enriching the region with a diverse range of research support, delivery, and innovation.
By harnessing the distinctive strengths and resources of each partner, we foster an environment that encourages innovation, advances research capability, and strives to improve the quality of care for communities across Yorkshire and the Humber.
